I'm back!

There's an amazing artist called Adam Scott who did this chair...it's mega rad :D
Well bonjour and good day etc, I'm back from glorious (not so sunny) Devon...I have been back for a week but haven't had to time to update this yet! Nights out, sleep to be caught up on etc..
the body boarding was amazing! I found out that I'm not as bad at it as I thought I'd be but I also found out I look like an actual dumpling in a wetsuit! Little legs find it hard to accommodate the lengths of wetsuits available, it would seem..
Caught a few waves and seriously, it's the best feeling ever!
P.S - I've come back & it seems there's so much I need to put on here...it'll all come through, don't worry :)

Paris, Je T'aime!
Oh wow. This film looks so good & I've just ordered it on dvd before I move into the new house!
other films I've ordered are:
other films I've ordered are:
- Big Lebowski
- Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Can't wait!
P.s. the only bad thing about the new house is that I'll be there, alone and with no internet, for a whole month! Hence the dvds. So excited about seeing my new room though! Fell in love with the big dark wooden wardrobe - I thought it was mahogany but it's actually oak - and the fireplace! I'll get pictures up as soon as I can!
p.p.s. I won't be on this for a while, so lots of love (if there is anyone reading this but me, ha)! x

Things what I likes.

This blog is, I guess, rapidly turning into a conglomeration of all my favourite things. Today: magazines. I’ve been embroiled in a more than 5 year long love affair with Glamour; it’s great – there is so much to love about it. Recently, though, I’ve turned my affections to publications with perhaps a little more substance. I’ve already mentioned Cooler magazine – it just gets me excited about things to come. Yes, I will be on those waves one day!
Plastique magazine is the one I have to mention next. Along with Cooler, it’s the kind of magazine I’d love to be working on. Full of beautiful pictures and words to make you think, it’s a classic – though, unfortunately, a quarterly. Definitely worth the wait, though!
Finally, Amelia's Magazine - a true stunner. These magazines are pricey (£12.99) and are no longer in publication - the last one I bought really was the last! I don't in any way regret paying that much for it, it was a treat and less like a magazine, more like a book full of loveliness to treasure forever!
p.s. someone bought one of my books from Green Metropolis! Was not expecting that to happen. Was especially not expecting the first sale to be 'The Ice Palace' by Robert Swindells...
p.p.s. last night, I saw my fabulous best friend and we stayed up late watching these films:
- Chumscrubber (excellent)
- Requiem for a Dream (incredible & so powerful! Almost made me cry)
- Dans Paris (made so much better by the gorgeous yet promiscuous brother. French + curly hair = enough je ne sais quoi to...well)
The other film we didn't get round to watching (far too sleepy) was Paranoid Park - about a killer skateboarder, ha.

Red Bull X Fighters!
...is bloody brilliant! I'm just looking on some website about the details for it being held in London in August. Sorry, that's terrible English - excitement has overwhelmed my grammar perameters! That's not even the right word. I want to go see the action! Rawr.
For those of you who have no idea what I'm on about, look at this - it's Levi Sherwood with his winning performance in Mexico earlier this year:
the guy was only 17 at the time & beat Eigo Sato, a 30 year old! The mega-plus: the guys involved are all seriously hot. On that note - get well soon Cam Sinclair!

Lip Tattoo!

I was reading Cooler magazine the other day (it's amazing, take a look at it!) and a girl who writes for them has had the inside of her lip tattooed & it looks so good!! Really really want to get mine done like hers, the YEAH is just so darn cute!
The thing is though, I had a heart op when I was a baby & even though they patched me up just fine, I'm at a high risk of developing endocarditis after getting a tattoo done. Even if it is on the inside of my lip. How much does that suck?
The P.S tonight is me letting you know my physio is going super duper of late.
P.P.S - I need to do physio on my knee so I can surf. I reeally want to surf, more than anything. Until I get my knee better though, surfing's a bit of a no-no. I'm not being a wuss - if I bust my knee in the water, I'll probably be screwed. It'd be a big owie.

P.S!
yes, a whole post dedicated to P.S - I forgot to mention it but it makes me so darn excited! I want to do this:
So that's the film where the love for skimboarding started, but this one is awesome too, so I thought I'd add it :)
L.O.V.E.

Another post, sooner than I thought....
I apologise for last night's perhaps slightly blunt first post. I was tired, irritable and not exactly in the mood to write overly-lovely things. However, I can assure you that I am a nice person (I pride myself on being this way, promise!) and it is more likely than unlikely for me to continue with this blog - I confess, I love to write. About whatever - it's possible that you will be inundated with the minutiae (who knew it was actually spelled like that?) of my life. I do have a lot of things going on though; I'm busier than I previously implied. My summer is a-happenin', even though it's all on a very limited budget as I'm extremely low on funds maintenant.
Today...
- I called my potential driving instructor (finally getting round to squeezing in a few lessons before I go back to university)
- Sorted out my claims form which I really should have sent off about 2 weeks ago (I was claiming back money I paid for an extortionately expensive dentistry bill - it was extortionate to a student, at least)
- Put more books on Green Metropolis - maybe someone will want to buy them??? I've put up over 120 books so far, I have a ridiculously large amount of patience, it took AGES. Here's to hoping it was actually worth it! This is the link to the site, if you're interested: https://www.greenmetropolis.com/
Those were all the highlights, at least. Yes, it may not seem much, but these are little steps towards the kind of summer I always dream about having from about October the year before - one involving freedom & more money. Wahoo :) also, I would like to point out that the day is far from over yet...
P.S - The picture in my title thing, the one with all the flowers? It's by an artist called Yvonne Coomber and it's called 'Wild Thing'. It's one of my favourite paintings ever - in real life, it's even better because it's all glittery. Go check her out!

Your summer starts...here?
First things first - I want you to know (whoever you are reading this - really, congratulations on finding my as of yet lacklustre and potentially pointless blog) that this could be the beginning of the end. Already. I make no promises to keep you up to date with the minutae (ea?) of my life, as so many things happen to me, like they do to everybody, on a daily basis that I could have difficulty sifting through what you may or may not be particularly bothered to hear about. The subject is, indeed, subjective - what constitutes a 'highlight' in day? This may be my one and only posting.
Or maybe not. I couldn't really specify why I'm doing this, writing things down. But just on the off-chance that something really incredible happens to me - you'll hear about it here (probably not) first.
My summer so far? Has been fairly run of the mill. Actually...so run of the mill, I'd rather not go into it. So I won't. Wow, I'm off to go & find some adventure.
P.S - Hello. I like what you've done with your hair today. My name is Bee and I just love stumbling across really old, vintage editions of classic books. I love reading books (whether they're falling apart or not) curled up on the sofa on a rainy day. I'll drink a cup of (maybe herbal) tea, but I won't dunk a biscuit in. That's gross. Don't get me started on custard creams.
P.P.S - I promise I'll always P.S a posting, even though - as aforementioned - I make no promises as to posting a second posting...
